Where it all began

So this is where my venture started two years ago. A 2014 sketch of Hope Valley, Derbyshire in the beautiful Peak District. During the second Lockdown I was going slightly insane and needed a creative outlet. Using the watercolour sketch as a springboard I began to produce small intimate works taking a mixed media approach Sharpie pen then watercolour was added to the small canvas board. The work was then completed using a layer of acrylic. This 2014 Hope Valley sketch was an inspiration in terms of composition and palette. The linear quality of the hills create a journey which appeals to the eye. The sketch gave me reference for a number of paintings and inspired me to revisit the Peak District once Lockdown restrictions had been lifted. Although my visual language may have deviated slightly at times I still come back to this watercolour sketch to remind me how my business began. My winter SALE is still on. Framed artworks for SALE direct from the artists. Mixed media landscape paintings now available to buy at a reduced price including P&P.
